Daily academic instruction is provided by a certified teacher. The teacher works closely with the student and his/her school to assess school concerns, student needs, and to help the student maintain his/her academic level. Adolescents are placed on homebound instruction from their regular school district to address academic issues while in treatment. Schoolwork based on instructional levels is provided, but parents and teachers are encouraged to bring/send individual academic assignments to be completed in the program. Meetings between the school and program staff are often scheduled to assist in the student’s transition back into school.
