Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Services at CADD

CADD offers each family and individual comprehensive testing, multi-disciplinary evaluation and diagnosis, leading to a customized treatment plan for each individual.

Philhaven’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities knows that receiving an accurate diagnosis and obtaining multiple services can be very challenging. That’s why we’re here to partner with families and offer a growing range of services in one location.

Multidisciplinary Evaluations

May include some or all of the following:

  • Clinical Evaluation
    A review of the client’s history and an assessment by a clinician which includes
    the patient and parents/caregivers 
  • Diagnostic Testing 
    (ADOS, ADI-R, Cognitive Testing)
  • Psychiatric Evaluation
  • Feedback Session
    A meeting with the family/caregivers to review the team’s evaluation, diagnostic findings, and recommendations and to provide information regarding treatment and services

Autism Diagnostic Service for Toddlers - Children through Age 3

  • Clinical Evaluation
    A review of the client’s history and an assessment by a clinician which includes the patient and parents/caregivers
  • ADOS Testing
  • Feedback Session 
    A meeting with the family/caregivers to review the results of ADOS testing, diagnostic findings, and recommendations and to provide information regarding services

Psychiatric Services

  • Psychiatric Evaluation
    A review of the client’s history and an interview/play assessment (depending on the age) by a psychiatrist to determine the diagnosis and recommendations for treatment
  • Medication Management
    An appointment with a psychiatrist to discuss treatment issues and progress and to provide ongoing medication monitoring

Individual and Family Therapy

Appointments with licensed psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors to address social skills, behavioral issues and co-occurring psychiatric problems, as well as sibling, marital, and family concerns


Behavioral Consultations by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst

A 2-3 session office-based consultation for clients with challenging behaviors during which the behavior analyst reviews the history and the information gathered by the family to determine the reasons for the negative behaviors and replace them with more appropriate behaviors


Psychological Testing

  • Cognitive Assessments
    A review of the client’s history and the use of standardized tests to assess intellectual ability
  • Evaluation of Adaptive Functioning
    Psychological tests, such as the Vineland or the ABAS, used to obtain a measure of the individual’s level of communication, socialization and independent living skills
  • Autism Testing
    • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS)
      A structured play assessment or interview conducted by a psychologist with the client to help determine the diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder
    • Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)
      A structured interview conducted with the parents or other caregivers to help determine the diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder

Social Skills Groups

Groups of peers, with similar developmental level and overall functioning, which utilize a semi-structured, recreation-based format with a goal of improving social interaction skills.


Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)

Behavioural Health Rehabilitative Services are medically prescribed, intensive and individualized mental health services that are delivered in the home, school and/or community. BHR Services are supportive, time-limited, one-to-one planned behavioral health interventions designed to help the child and family develop skills to improve problem behaviors, utilizing treatment interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
